Iqama or Muqeem (since 1437 hijri, 2005 gregorian) is a residence permit issued by the government of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is equivalent to an Identity Card for expats. It is the responsibility of the kafeel to take care of Iqama expenses.

Since Iqama is the primary Identity documentation for expats living in Saudi Arabia, it is necessary in order to obtain almost all the basic needs from getting a sim card, bank account, etc.

Muqeem Card contains the following details:

  • Name of card holder
  • ID number
  • Occupation/Profession
  • Nationality
  • Religion
  • Employers name
  • Photograph of card holder
